Before moving fully into health and social care, Sarah trained and worked in building surveying, developing particular experience around accessibility and adaptations for people with disabilities. Today, she combines her professional knowledge with her passion for writing, producing practical and inspiring books designed to encourage positive change, greater confidence and improved wellbeing. Sarah is also the Director of Care at Amberly Solutions Limited and has extensive experience supporting people within health and social care services.

Experience in Health and Social Care

Sarah brings more than a decade of experience within health and social care to her writing and professional work. Her experience has included working within NHS forensic mental health services, domiciliary care, supported living and community-based services. She has progressed through frontline and leadership roles and has achieved advanced qualifications in Health and Social Care Management at Levels 5, 6 and 7. As a Registered Manager and Director of Care, Sarah understands both the human and professional sides of providing high-quality support. Her experience has given her valuable insight into dignity, independence, communication, leadership, resilience and person-centred care — themes that naturally influence much of her writing.
